The iPhone Economy is Weird.
It is a sign of a strange world to me that somebody would pay $170 + $100 shipping for an item with such an obvious defect. I understand that this is cheaper than getting a new one and simpler in terms of contract obligations, but the fact that the price for old iPhones on the secondary market is still essentially what they were new (unless they’re in bad shape like this one) is very weird.
The implication here is that I could sell my own iPhone, which was itself replaced a few weeks ago, for more than the cost of a new, 3G iPhone. Are AT&T contracts really that bad?
