The Ultimate Uncluttered Tube Map
Further to the disappearance of the Thames and the fare zones on the beloved London Tube Map (as probed reported by the design police Jason) and before the Mayor’s orders are complied with (as applauded, again, by Mr. Permenter), The Londonist has a proposal that concerns itself with the needs of the real users of said Tube Map.
In other words, kindly sod off, Tube Map bullshit redesign.
— From London.

I might now have to wash my hands of all that designy mess I’d mentioned before. You’ll likely have to take my word for this, but everything on the simplified Tube map above is, oddly, completely true. History might indeed show this to be the very best London Tube map of all time. Still: there’s no Thames on it, is there? I suppose I’d just like to see some River, for good measure. Bah. Washing my hands of it all.

Reblogging this for my British friends. I think there’s way more to the Tube than this, but this is pretty hilarious nonetheless.

Whatever did the tourists do before the Jubilee Line?
