Our gubmint at work. I have a twelve-year-old car that is completely ineligible for the CARS rebate program because its combined MPG is 25. Not that I’d want to send it to the shredder anyway, but it’s the principle of the thing. If you bought a car that was fuel-efficient, screw you. If you bought an SUV (generally classified as a category 1 truck) with crappy mileage, get one with only marginally less crappy mileage and score a full rebate.

This is supposed to help?
